Community-Wide Unity Event - April 30th!
Chabad House will be hosting an Evening of Solidarity for the New Jersey greater community, and Rutgers Students.  This event will unite people to express support for the community in Poway, California, who suffered a tragic terrorist attack this Saturday, the Eighth Day of Passover.  The Chabad House in Poway was brutally attacked by a lone gunman, resulting in the death of a synagogue member Lori Kaye, and the shooting of three individuals, including the synagogue Rabbi Yisroel Goldstien.

This event will be held at Chabad House at Rutgers, the largest Chabad House in the USA and the world, 170 College Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 078901 on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 7:00 PM

Dignitaries are expected from NJ State Government, NJ Law Enforcement, Rutgers University, Jewish Federation,  and the Anti Defamation League.  The Israeli Consul Israel Nitzan is expected to represent the People of Israel.

Rabbi Yosef Carlebach, founding rabbi and Executive Director of Chabad House, stated: "The community in Poway and the entire decent world need our prayers and "Mitzvot" good deeds more than ever!  Let us unite and speak out against hate and intolerance.  Let this vigil bring comfort to the victims, and more importantly, bring some much needed light to a world that is dark. Join us as we stand together in a show of strength and solidarity."
